The Wine: The wine is made from hand-harvested Grenache (90%), Mourvèdre (5%) and Syrah (5%) from the small village of Courthezon. The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness to give a concentrated and generous wine with an impressive length for the price. After the temperature-controlled fermentation at 28°-30° for 4 to 5 weeks, the wine is stored in concrete tanks for up to one year. No oak is used, in order to emphasize the fruitiness of the wine. The quality, concentration and power guarantee a wine that can be stored for up to 10 years under the right conditions.

Taste and food pairing: A nuanced and rich wine with sun-ripened fruitiness. The taste is complex, with dark plums, blackberries, cocoa, thyme and black pepper in a well-balanced style, ending in a long aftertaste. In terms of food, the wine matches tasty meat dishes, preferably game, and good cheeses. Try reindeer or venison fillet with a classic potato gratin.

Serve at 16°-18°C. In its youth, the wine benefits from being aerated - preferably at least half an hour.
